Meet Bob and Carol Simpkins, from the good old cold state of Michigan. They
have been motor coaching for eight years now. Their very first coach was a
29' Coachman and it served them well. In late 1992 Bob and Carol purchased
the ultimate Recreation vehicle that Fleetwood offers, the American Eagle motor home. This coach has been the perfect conveyance for many memorable
trips. Destinations have included all points west and their favorite trip
of all took them all the way to Alaska. The return jaunt brought them to
South Texas and they enjoyed it so much that they decided to buy a lot at
South Padre Island.
Among the favorite of RV'ing activities is "all the nice people we meet" Bob is quick to report. "It is most interesting" he continues "to encounter pleasant folks from all walks of life" Carol adds "the biggest reward is the ability to park in areas impossible to get a hotel." And with a special look in their eyes for one another they agree the oneness with nature and the moonlit strolls easily rate a 10 amongst motor coaching activities.
This fondness for fellowship with other people is a big reason the Simpkins
enjoy the periodic AE&L rallies. It is another place to get to know a
variety of interesting people. Everyone in this alliance has a Fleetwood motor coach
in common and some interesting tidbits of information to share.
